Hey man,
Might be a weird example but if you notice a lot of high-profile men (like Elon Musk, George Clooney, Donald Trump, Dan Bilzerian, Russell Brand) make a bunch of small talk when they are on podcasts and TV shows.
For example:
Trump was talking about boxing and UFC with Joe Rogan recently.
And I’m only mentioning it because a lot of dating coaches swear against small talk.
But in my opinion it can be useful.
Here’s why:
Knowing a little bit about sports, or what’s going on, is important in order to make friends, to be resourceful, to be able to call in favors, and to be able to talk to women WITHOUT running out of things to say.
So every time I hear a dating coach say, “talk about your passions”
I roll my eyes 🙄
Talking about one thing super deeply can indeed make you look passionate…
But guys misconstrue it and beat the topic to death.
Which does something you NEVER want to appear as.
And it’s something super unattractive.
See…
When you talk only about one or two things you come across as one-dimensional.
It’s hard to connect with someone who’s one-dimensional.
Because it’s hard to relate.
And if you can’t relate to women, there will always be a barrier between you.
Attraction will simply NEVER flourish.
Knowing a bit about sports, politics, even social media news…
Makes you relatable to “normal” people and women.
And the more you know about random stuff the easier it is to sit at a table and spit “game” for hours regardless of how hot the woman in front of you is.
The reason dating coaches swear against small talk however is because guys don’t make it lead anywhere.
Whereas if you use it as a tool…
As a way to “attack” from different angles…
Small talk and never running out of things to say make you look COMPETENT.
And women like competent men.
Actually, everyone wants to know competent people in general.
Because competence makes everything better.
Also:
Small talk is super useful when meeting girls in ordinary everyday scenarios.
Cause it makes you relatable…
It makes you normal…
It makes it EASY for girls to connect with you.
And easily connecting is part of the cornerstone principles I teach in my course for meeting women called SayHello.
I show you how to be relatable…
Genuine…
A.k.a how to be yourself…
And have women like you just for you no matter how corny that might sound.
SayHello helps you create EFFORTLESS attraction.
No need to be gamey.
Or overly-witty.
You’ll use seemingly unassuming conversation techniques to steer interactions in your favor… get numbers… get dates… and get something more 😉
